about

Buse Topsakal is a visual artist and creative force from Istanbul, now based in Dublin. She began her artistic journey with street art in 2012, gradually evolving her practice into sustainable, neo-figurative art that navigates — and sometimes resists — the rapidly shifting world around us.

Educated at Istanbul Saint Benoit High School, she continued her studies in Belgium and New York before completing a BA in Visual Communication Design at Istanbul Bilgi University. She later pursued Illustration at Domus Academy Milan and Lighting Design at NABA, followed by an MA in Marketing Communication at Bilgi University, where she explored somatic cursors and the sociological impact of colour in her academic research.

Since 2021, Buse has been a lecturer at Okan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, teaching courses on colour, visual communication, and sustainable art practices.

Her artistic identity as SustainableArtist reflects her commitment to ecology and material awareness. Through collaborations with international brands, large-scale public projects, and independent works exhibited in global collections and art fairs, she reimagines sustainability as both a material and political language.

Now based in Dublin with her family, she continues to create work that blends art, design, and critical research, while seeking to transform spaces into experiences that engage communities and provoke dialogue.

Early works

In 2017, Buse founded the women’s underwear brand “feyling,” gaining recognition at top retailers. She also established 272creative, a design agency, and in 2018, she launched“caim and co,” a sustainable swimwear brand.
